Introducing Online Coaching

This a new and powerful initiative that goes to provide a coaching service to supplement and enhance your current dance practice and/or your Alexander Technique practice and experience.

The beauty of this platform is that it can provide guidance and professional advice to individuals and groups who may not be able to access it, due to the demographic they are currently living in. This includes smaller cities, towns and rural areas, not only within Australia but also internationally.

It may also provide assistance to those who are currently wanting more one on one feedback wherever they are studying or working.

This service seeks to contribute professional advice to those who are serious about their studies and career path by enhancing and guiding their work through this direct line of communication, which may include: Ballet and contemporary dancers, teachers, and choreographers and also those who are interested in the Alexander Technique and its benefits.

Suitability:

This service is best reserved for serious students and professionals of ballet and contemporary dance. Students from the age of around 14 years old can access this service with the supervision of a parent and/or of a teacher. Preferably both.

The same service applies for the Alexander Technique. In cases where postural issues and tension patterns require attention they also can be assisted by online engagement and suggestive practice.

Environment:

You can be creative about this. You could choose to utilize a studio environment or a household environment anywhere that gives a clear picture of your practice and presence that can be seen via Skype.

Alternatively:

There is the possibility for you to send a Youtube or Vimeo recording of your practice should you wish to do so, for comment and analysis. This can be sent directly to my email address: tmg.dans@gmail.com. Then we can discuss how to address the content via the provided scheduling format.

Freedom Dance:

There is tremendous freedom available to us all via the internet to engage with each other without the restrictive control from private businesses, government institutions, examining organizations, and competitive bodies.

Just through true and blue engagement and the passing down of the legacy of those that have gone before us and encompassed in the present practitioners and what they have to offer. This is what is going on here on this platform. We are all about engagement.

This was always the way in the past, it was and will always be the way in some form or another the true way of teaching and coaching dance. Passing on experience through the actual manifestation and truth-telling of that experience.

The bones of the art of dance is that of the body, mind, and spirit in a harmonious engagement. Thus to bring about real exchange and interaction we need to create a new and honest platform away from the messy starch of the control of the corporations and cultural business entities that dictate how we should do what we do, that which we do naturally and instinctively but which is distorted by financial manipulation and ends up as a nothing, a no-go creative experience.

What we are as artists represents a distinctive and natural way to pass on knowledge as practitioners of this dance art form. We can back this knowledge up with our very endless hard work and unique dedication and connections and productive examples that we have fought so hard to create. The art of dance and its sovereignty and culture is manifested through its practitioners and artists and friends, something which is very frequently lacking in its artistic and cultural form in the commercial studio space and also the professional dance culture at large.
